Show Notes

The refractory industry is vast and full of technical expertise, but sometimes you need to learn a little about adjacent industries to get the most out of your refractory install. That's why, this month, we'll be taking a short trip in the metallurgical side to discuss stainless steel needles used in monolithic refractories. Join in to learn about different types of stainless steel, why they're used, how they're made, and necessary limitations to their use. And for those applications that reach beyond the capabilities of stainless steel needles, we'll introduce coarse aggregate castables as well. If you'd like to learn more about the use of stainless steel needles or coarse aggregate castables, contact us at Technical-Marketing@ThinkHWI.com.
